Bishop Eustace Preparatory School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory school, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position will primarily teach Introduction to Literature on both the Honors and College Prep levels, with the possibility of other English courses as assigned.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging, rigorous, and developmentally appropriate lessons in Literature.
  • Fostering a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, strong communication skills, and a love for reading and writing.
  • Assessing and evaluating student performance through a variety of assignments and assessments.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the English Department and across disciplines to support student learning.
  • Integrating Bishop Eustace’s mission and values into classroom instruction and interactions with students.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • New Jersey Teacher Certification in English (or eligibility for certification).
  • Strong knowledge of literature and composition pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Bishop Eustace Preparatory School.
 
Salary Range:
$50,000 – $65,000, commensurate with education and experience.
