    ANTICIPATED OPENING:  Full-Time School Nurse
    The School Nurse serves as the primary advocate for the health and well-being of students and staff within the school. Responsibilities include health screenings and services, emergency first aid, the care of those who are ill and injured while in the school, maintenance of health records, and instruction in sound health practices.
    Position Requirements:
    • Current R.N. licensing by the State Board of Nursing required; New Jersey School Nurse and Health Education certification preferred
    • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ Automated External Defibrillation (CPR/ AED) certification required
    • Training in airway management and in the use of nebulizers and inhalers consistent with nationally recognized standards
    • Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment
    • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate decorum in all situations
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records
    • Required criminal history check and mandated reporter/ VIRTUS training
