Cleared to Play List
Only students whose names are on the Cleared to Play List may condition, tryout, practice or play for a Bishop Eustace team in season.
Please read the information below before accessing the current Cleared to Play List.
Note: A student's name is listed on the Clear to Play List based solely on the date the last Sports Physical was performed and the form submitted for review by the School Nurse. Students may otherwise be restricted from participation in sports based on current acute or chronic physical conditions which will not appear on the Cleared to Play List.
Health Requirements for the 2013-2014 School Year
If a student's name DOES NOT appear on the current “Cleared to Play” list, then he/she DOES NOT have a current physical on file and is NOT cleared to play. A Sports Physical is NOT current or valid if it is dated more than 365 days from the first day of a current sports season.
Note: Start dates for the 4 sports seasons change by a couple of days each year but are approximately: Summer Conditioning ~ 6/15, Fall ~ 8/20, Winter ~ 11/25 and Spring ~ 3/5.
Students with OK are cleared for all sports seasons this current school year but may need a new physical for next Summer Conditioning season.
Note: Many athletes who were cleared to play for "the current or a prior" season are NO LONGER ELIGIBLE for the next season because their Sports Physicals will have expired. The names of these students are dropped from the Cleared to Play list when it is updated prior to an upcoming season ~ 2 weeks before the changeover. These athletes may finish any Playoffs but may NOT condition or tryout for a new season.
Note: Athletes on certain teams are highlighted if the changeover date for their sport is slightly earlier than the rest of the sports season. For example, crew often starts 2-3 weeks before the primary Spring Sports Season so these athletes' eligibility dates are different.
Remember: Coaches CANNOT accept Sports Physical Forms and Nurse’s hours are irregular over the summer and during school vacations. So, get all forms to the Nurse’s Office well before the first day you intend to participate or you will sit until your forms can be processed. During a school holiday the Athletic Trainer or Athletic Director may accept Sport Physicals, temporarily clear athletes to play, and will be responsible for getting the forms to the Nurse.
Sport Physical Forms are not available on line. They are mailed to every student in May. If you need another one, it is available at the front desk, at the Nurse’s Office or at the Athletic Office.
