The Tree Arrives

An annual tradition….Bishop Eustace Prep’s 2005 Christmas tree arrived safely at Lulli Library from Paul May Tree Farm in Delran on Nov. 30. The varsity football team was on hand to transport the 25-ft. tree through the library and to help the maintenance staff raise it into position with ropes, a lift and a lot of ooh’s and aah’s.  A Moravian star now sits atop the tree, which is strung with 3800 multi-colored lights and is easily seen, especially at night, through the library’s huge glass window. Members of the Student Library Assn. had already decorated the library for Christmas with colorful bulletin boards and exhibits. It only remains for members of the Ferroequinology Club, under the tutelage of Fr. Bernie Carmen, to construct at the base of the tree, an elaborate railroad line, including a new Bishop Eustace Boxcar #1954. The trains are especially popular with the children who visit Bishop Eustace Prep for the SLA’s Christmas Story Hour.
