On 8 November 2005 and 9 November 2005 the Very rev.
Zenon Hanas, S.A.C., Vicar General of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate
(Pallottines) made the canonical visitation to Bishop Eustace Preparatory
School.
Every six years as required by Canon Law (The Law of the
Roman Catholic Church), the Rector General or his delegate is required to
visit every member of the Society and visit the apostolates entrusted to
their care. On Tuesday, 8 November 2005 the Very Rev. Zenon Hanas, S.A.C.,
Vicar General, began his visit to the Pallottine Residence at Bishop Eustace
and his visit to the school. Father Zenon is a member of the Christ the King
Province (Poland).
Father Zenon toured the campus, visited many of the
classes while in session. At the end of the school day on Tuesday, Father
addressed the entire faculty regarding the mission of the Pallottines and
the importance of working together to build a better world.
On Wednesday, 9 November 2005 Father Hanas continued
his visit to the school community with more classroom visits and discussions
with the students about their studies and activities. At 1:30 PM Father
Zenon along with the entire Board of Trustees and other visiting Pallottines
celebrated Mass for the deceased members of the Immaculate Conception
Province. The Liturgy was the highlight of the Vicar General's visit. The
students sang all the Mass parts, acted as lectors, servers and ushers.
In his closing remarks to the Pallottines, faculty,
staff and especially the students, Father Zenon said, "This school (Bishop
Eustace) is truly a place of hope for the future!"
Father Hanas left Bishop Eustace on Wednesday evening
to fly to Milwaukee, WI to begin the canonical visitation of the Mother of
God Province.
