How Many Candy Corn Are There?

Student Council sponsored a “how many candy corn” contest, with proceeds from this fundraiser going to The Jujutla Foundation, which funds scholarships for two grade school students to attend high school in Jujutla, a rural community in El Salvador. The creator and founder of The Jujutla Foundation is Ryan Neal, Bishop Eustace Class of 2000 and a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador.

The winner of the candy corn contest was Matt Dolan, Class of 2006, who came closest to the actual number of candy corn (1,816) with his guess of 1,731. Matt won not only the container of candy corn but also a cash prize of $25.

Student Council raised a total of $273.20, enough to fund one full year scholarship of $225 with additional money toward a second scholarship. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this worthy cause.
